Jen completed her Master of Psychology (Clinical) at the University of New England. Initially a music teacher in Western Sydney, Jen became interested in psychology and eagerly decided to retrain as a psychologist. Jen’s past research interests include obsessive-compulsive disorder and the effect of social support on young adults with type 1 diabetes.
Jen spent 18 months working as a School Psychologist in the New England region of New South Wales. In this role, Jen provided counselling and assessment services to children and young people aged 5-18 years, their parents, and their teachers.
Jen also has experience in a clinical setting, working with people aged 5-70 with a variety of presenting problems such as stress, mood disorders, attachment problems, and learning disorders, to name a few.
Jen is currently working from a cognitive-behavioural, client-focused approach. Jen understands how hard it can be to talk about distressing issues and aims to build trust and express respect for her clients. Jen welcomes a wide variety of clients and presentations, such as those with anxiety, depression, stress, anger, self-harm, and suicidal ideation. In addition, those with a faith or religious worldview will find Jen to be a supportive and open therapist.
